Long Reach Excavator Service with Operator in Western Kentucky

Supreme Enterprises LLC provides long reach excavator service with a trained operator for road departments, public works crews, utilities, and commercial sites across Western Kentucky. We’re based in Benton, near Paducah. The machine does dredging, ditch and channel cleanout, bank shaping, and mulching head work, all from solid ground. Supreme Enterprises is licensed, insured, and bonded.

What a long reach excavator does

A long reach excavator has an extended boom and stick, so it can dig and clean much farther out than a standard excavator. That reach is the reason to use one. The machine sits on a bank, a road shoulder, or other firm ground and works out over the water, down the slope, or across the ditch.

For an agency or a site owner, that has a few practical upsides. The machine stays out of the creek, ditch, or basin instead of tracking into it. Staying off the water and soft ground means fewer ruts and less damage to banks and slopes. Steep banks, wide channels, and overgrown right of way that a standard machine can’t reach safely become workable. And with more reach from each setup, the machine covers more ditch or shoreline before it has to move.

Always supplied with an operator

We provide our long reach excavator only as a service with one of our trained operators. We don’t rent it out on its own. Working around water, soft banks, slopes, and nearby roads and utilities takes judgment, and our operators run this machine every day. You get the reach and the experience in the same visit.

Long reach excavator applications

Pond, basin, and channel dredging

Long reach excavator dredging pulls sediment, muck, and debris out of ponds, detention and retention basins, and drainage channels without putting the machine in the water. Once the depth is back, a basin holds the water it was built for and a channel carries flow again. See our dredging services.

Ditch and culvert inlet cleanout

Sediment, brush, and debris collect at culvert inlets and along ditch lines until the water backs up onto the road. Working from the shoulder or the top of the bank, the long reach excavator pulls that material out and opens the flow path back up. See our culvert cleaning and drainage solutions.

Bank shaping

When a bank along a ditch, channel, or pond has eroded or started to slump, we can cut it back and shape it from above. Nothing has to sit on the slope itself.

Forestry mulching head for overgrown right of way

With a mulching head on, the long reach excavator clears brush and saplings on steep banks, along ditch lines, and in right of way that’s hard to get at from the road. The material gets ground up in place and left as mulch, which helps hold the soil. See our forestry mulching services.

The machine and attachments

We set the long reach excavator up with whatever bucket or attachment fits the job: digging, cleaning out sediment, shaping a bank, or mulching brush. When you call, tell us how far you need to reach and what the work is, and we’ll go over the reach, bucket, and attachment options with you.

Other equipment available with an operator

Long reach work is often one piece of a bigger job. We also run an excavator with a forestry mulching head and standard excavators, each with a trained operator. See all of our equipment rental with operator options for public agencies and commercial projects.

Frequently asked questions

No. Supreme Enterprises provides long reach excavator service with a trained operator only. We don’t rent the machine out on its own. Our operator runs it for dredging, ditch and channel cleanout, bank shaping, and mulching head work across Western Kentucky.

It’s removing sediment, muck, and debris from ponds, basins, and channels with an excavator that works from the bank. The extended boom reaches out over the water, so the machine stays on solid ground and out of the channel while it restores depth and flow.

Usually when the work is out of reach from solid ground: wide ditches and channels, ponds and basins, steep or soft banks, or overgrown right of way down a slope. If a standard excavator would have to track into the water or onto an unstable bank to do the job, long reach is usually the better pick.

Yes. Besides the long reach excavator, Supreme Enterprises runs standard excavators and an excavator with a forestry mulching head, each with a trained operator. Our equipment rental with operator page has the full lineup.
